Mac OS X 10.7 'Lion', coming soon!
Apple announced a event called ‘back to the mac’ is scheduled for Wed Oct 20th. On the invitation to that event is clearly a Lion, which, if you ask me is clear evidence the next Mac OS version will be called Lion.
What to expect? I would assume some UI updates, how extensive I don’t know. Other then that there hasn’t been many leaks at all so we’re left...

I can't wait to have a working iPod touch again!
Two days ago I attempted to take my iPod apart to see if it was at all fixable, and while I was trying and trying to get it to come apart, I cracked the front glass and wrecked part of the plastic frame that holds it together. I knew I’d break it if I tried to open it, it’s just inevitable for me with something that small. But I figured it’s not working anyway so what’s...

Goodbye BumpTop!
Yesterday my iMac’s desktop went from 119 items to zilch, save for hard drives, which really don’t count as items anyway. I had been using BumpTop, which is a cool idea that turned my desktop into a 3D room with four walls and a floor where I organized my stuff. One of the best features was piles, which lets you pile stuff into little stacks. But…… The whole thing is very...

Gmail tip: Search archived email and nothing more
So, a friend of mine wanted to be able to search just archives, without searching all mail.
The solution is to add this to the end of your search, without quotes: “label:all mail -inbox”
That removes the inbox from your search, and you just have to add any other labels you don’t want to show up with a subtraction sign in-front of them to the end of that.

Picasa tip: Embed full size pictures
Ever wanted to link to or embed a full size picture from picasa web? Here’s how:
Go to “link to this photo”, and copy the embed code to wherever you’re embedding/linking-to it. It doesn’t matter what size you pick, as you have to manually change it anyway. Get the code, which, depending on the options you chose, will look something like this:...

Noah's injury, the full story.
Thursday, June 10th, 7:54PM; I am upstairs doing chores. Daniel is downstairs, Mom is downstairs, Noah asked her if he could ‘rip’ a board, on the table saw (rip is what they call cutting long ways). She told him ‘No Noah, that’s dangerous’. He proceeds to cut it anyway.
Mom goes back upstairs, and then we hear what we both thought was pretend screaming. Noah ran...

Notice how fast it loads, and how little CPU needed to run it. And, you don’t need to install anything. Adobe can’t say the same about flash. I know it works in Chrome, Safari and mobile safari, I’m not sure of others, probably won’t work in Internet Explorer.
Noah is feeling better, so he says. For those of you who don’t know, Noah/Nowell cut his wrist on a table saw Thursday night. He hit four tendons, a major artery, 100% severed 1 nerve and 80% severed another. He had surgery in Phoenix Friday, and still cannot feel the palm of his right hand. The Doc said ‘summer is over for him’. He has a chance or getting that feeling back...

Am I leaving Facebook?
I’m starting to notice something: I check my google buzz multiple times a day, and I check my email and twitter a few times a day. But I go on facebook about every few days, more like a few times a week. And when I DO go on, I usually am just either A.) getting someone’s profile info, like a email, etc. B.) Updating my status or profile. But on buzz or twitter, I’m actually...
What do you think of the new theme?
Who noticed my new blog layout and theme? I like it and think it looks more modern and more complete then it did before. Comment system is yet to be re-installed.

Jonathan Lebed's Extracurricular Activities →
givemesomethingtoread:
On Sept. 20, 2000, the Securities and Exchange Commission settled its case against a 15-year-old high-school student named Jonathan Lebed. The S.E.C.’s news release explained that Jonathan — the first minor ever to face proceedings for stock-market fraud — had used the Internet to promote stocks from his bedroom in the northern New Jersey suburb of Cedar Grove. Vacation =D
And we’re off. Finally.
After some delay, some more delay and maybe just a little more, we are off on our way to Utah, our first stop for the night. (probably)
We are then going to Oregon, through ‘Bend, Burns & Boise’, and then down the coast of Oregon all the way to San Diego, CA. We have two weeks. So, obviously, we will be making stops all along the way, which is...
Arizona law makes it a crime to be a illegal Immigrant

Cory: What part of ‘illegal’ doesn’t MSNBC understand? Anything that is ‘illegal’ is already a crime! Duh! I don’t think I’ve seen a stupider statement in my life.

More news about that iPhone 4G prototype
Ok,
about that new iPhone, here’s today’s news:
First it was reported that Gizmodo, the blog-site that currently has it payed $5,000 for it from the person who found it.
And now we get proof that it is, in-fact, defiantly real. Apple sent a letter to Gizmodo requesting it back and threatening to sue. They wouldn’t do this if it wasn’t real.
I would like to know if it...

A new horse, what should we name him?
On Tuesday, my mom bought a new horse. As of now we are calling him Boulder, or possibly Spirit. But we don’t really like either name, so go ahead and fire away suggestions.
He is a buckskin, and I would’ve blogged about him earlier, but they decided they wanted to surprise my Aunt with him, as she came in Saturday, and she reads my blog so that wouldn’t have worked :)

AT&T sure seems to be rushing to fix it’s network lately. For the most part, it seems to have helped, dropped call complaints went down a lot. I still say it’s too little too late. I vote for a Verizon iPhone later this year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a AT&T version alongside it though.

My iPod's backlight came on!
My iPod’s backlight came on, I’m excited! Only for three seconds though, but at least I know it’s not completly dead, and maybe with more rest it may be revived. Yipee! I’m sure glad I didn’t pay apple to replace it.

Where's my Nexus one on Verizon?
So, welcome to March 23rd. The day my mom leaves to go to New Jersey. The day Google is supposed to release the Nexus One of Verizon, my wireless provider. So where is it? Hopefully it will come out later today, but if it doesn’t I’m going to be looking towards the droid. Or maybe the HTC eris. Both of them have come down in price a lot, particularly online at places like letstalk.com...

Sonora Desert museum
We got home around 6p tonight. Had a great time yesterday at the Sonora Desert museum. And, after that, I had a even funner time (yes, I know that isn’t proper) playing ‘fastest tag in the west’ with the group that we were camping with, and then just hanging out. We stayed up till 11:20p :D

I configured, as closely as possible, two Intel Core i7 computers. One is a Dell XPS 8100, the other is a Apple iMac 27”. A 27” Dell UltraSharp monitor with the same resolution as the iMac’s screen was added to the XPS 8100, in-order to correctly compare these computers.
Obviously, it is impossible to make them exactly the same. Therefore, any spec that is better is marked in...
